Fishing License:
In Texas, anyone aged 17 and above must possess an appropriate fishing license with a saltwater endorsement to fish. These licenses can be procured from Wal-Mart, Academy, or online at www.tpwd.texas.gov. However, if you’re joining our charter merely as a “Rider” and don’t plan to fish, you’re exempt from this requirement.
Military Discounts:
At Pelagic Charters we’re honored to provide special rates @ 10% off the selected trip for both veterans and active-duty members of the U.S. Military. A valid military ID is essential to avail of this discount. Reach out to us for further details, and we’d like to extend our heartfelt gratitude for your service!
Tipping Guidelines:
While the charter fee covers the trip’s cost, tips are a direct way to appreciate our hardworking deckhands. These gratuities, separate from the charter fee, genuinely make a difference. For a group of six passengers, we recommend a tip of $25.00 to $40.00 per person. that averages about 20%. Any additional generosity is highly valued, and while tipping the Captain is at your discretion, it is always appreciated. Thank you!
Cancellation Policy:
If Pelagic Charters calls off a trip due to inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances, customers can either receive a complete refund of their deposit or transfer the deposit to a new charter date. However, if a customer cancels before the planned charter or fails to show up on the charter date, the deposit will not be refunded.
